Our Company

The Pyrogen Group is a 100% Malaysian-owned company. It is principally involved in the manufacturing and trading of advanced fire suppression solutions based on the solid propellant fire suppression technology.

Developed in the former Soviet Union in 1975, when the Soviets used the technology for their military and space programs, the solid propellant aerosol fire suppression technology was only first launched and commercialized in Australia. It later gained international recognition in 1997 when the world’s first ever standard for aerosol fire suppression systems, [AS/NZS 4487:1997 Standards Australia/ Standards New Zealand] was published.

In 1997, the Pyrogen Group acquired the IP rights to this first ever commercially available technology in the world and started marketing the range of products under its trademark Pyrogen®. It obtained ISO9001:2000 certification in 2005 and at the end of 2006, the Pyrogen Group was granted a pioneer status by MIDA under its manufacturing arm, Pyrogen Manufacturing Sdn Bhd [494713-D]. Since January 2007, a two-stage restructuring exercise was initiated to prepare for the planned listing on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange.

The Pyrogen Group undertakes active research and development and have invested more than RM25 million to enhance our fire suppression technologies and product offerings to the market worldwide. Our research and development activities are centered at our headquarters in Shah Alam and our regional office in Sydney, Australia which is helmed by two distinguished Russian scientists.

The Pyrogen Group’s R&D efforts will focus on building its competitive advantage through product quality and innovation, as well as production efficiency.

Pyrogen Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (PMSB) specializes in the design, manufacturing and distribution of fire suppression systems that will fully comply with Australian/New Zealand Standards, and/or respective tests and performance criteria required by relevant authorities.
